Bomb Squad and Fire Fighters
A bomb squad and/or fire fighters are only needed for certain types of crimes, a bomb squad would be needed if the crime involved a bomb that had gone off or was thought to explode within a short period of time whereas firefighters would be needed in a crime where a fire had taken place, they can also both be needed if the bomb had a chance of creating a fire, if this was the case then fire fighters would be present ready to tackle the fire. They are known as specialists as they only cater to certain types of crimes that either include a bomb or a fire. If a bomb squad or fire fighters attended a different investigation then their roles would not change as they are only their to deal with a bomb or a fire, however their responsibilities may change as no two fires are the same which means the fire fighters might have to take a different approach which may result in evacuating nearby areas. Same as for the bomb squad, if the bomb is larger and has a greater radius then it is now their responsibility to clear the area.
OJ Simpson:
In the OJ Simpson case where he allegedly killed Nicole Simpson and Ronald Goldman there were no bomb squad or fire fighters present at any part of the investigation, this was because their was no bomb nor was their a fire during or at any part of the crime or investigation.
